Invalid Token questions

Hi,

A couple of questions please ?

1. I'm using v4.6.1 of CC Business form. I updated Joomla to v3.8.3 in December 2017 and then shortly after I had a few clients receiving an 'Invalid Token' error when sending the form. I've never ever had anyone receive this error previously. I saw a previous topic where you suggested disabling the token check in the form settings - which I have done. Is this a safe thing to do.. ie. does it matter if I use the token check or not ? Also, has this error happened due to the last Joomla update - and if so, are there plans for a new version to fix this ?

2. On the components 'Submissions' page I can see an entry from a client (gmail address) that was sent last December 16th - but no mail was actually received in my inbox from him - I also checked directly on my mail server and it's not listed there either - so it was never received. Could this be a fault somewhere of the contact form not outputting correctly - or possibly related to the token ?

The contact form is great btw, but I would just like to clear these issues up !

Regarding your questions:
Turning off tokken check can be absolutely safe when you use any type of captcha. For some users tokken check is a real headache, that is why we have created an option to disable it. Why it happens? Actually there is no exact answer yet - as you know Joomla has enormous amount of different extensions and plugins which are affecting CCF. It is impossible to identify them all. However we are always trying update CCF, to make it better... We are sorry that you experience this...

This is very strange that you have not received an email with gmail.com domain.
CCF is working in a very simple way, it either works or not, there is no stage between them.
The only thing that comes to my mind is the email has ended up in SPAM folder or that email address has been used for sending mass emails and is blacklisted. However, if you have availability please fill in the form again with exactly the same email address again and check your SPAM folder as well.
